19th Century Folk Art Carving of Lady Liberty

Stands a whopping 82" tall.

Here's the auction house description:

The large and imposing figure carved in full round and of good proportions and anatomy closely following the Bartholdi model and exhibiting in places the original gilt surface over a gessoed ground, and also exhibiting later polychroming. The weathered surface would suggest it was for quite some time installed in an outdoor environment. Losses as shown. Height 82 inches (6 feet 8 inches) 209cm. Provenance: From a Midwest (Nebraska) estate.

Sold for $11,000.00 (before premium) at Jackson's Auction.
