Metal Boys

Early 20th century cutouts of two boys. Not sure if it was part of a weathervane or some other sort of whimsy.

Measures 16" and 11" tall.

Cool. From Brimfield?

Yeah, I picked up these and also the life sized carved stone shoe. I thought I got a deal on the cutouts and then later realized I had to check it in as luggage instead of a carry-on (and an extra $25) since the spike on the end could be used as a weapon. To be honest, the stone shoe (when hurled) can be quite a weapon as well!

I would've liked to have seen the original full construction and how the figures are related. I like the setup in the first photo the most, where it looks like the one kid just knocked the other flat on his back! I know it probably wasn't this way, but I just had to shoot one pic that way :)
