80,264 Spools of Thread at the 1885 New Orleans Cotton Centennial Exhibition


Trade card from the exhibit of J. & P. Coats at the Cotton Centennial exposition held in New Orleans in 1885. The exhibit's structure, shown on the card, was made of 80, 264 spools of thread. It was modeled after the old stone mill at Newport.

I know! It's pretty incredible. I would have loved to have been at the New Orleans Cotton Centennial Exhibition!
