Elwood Graham James

Elwood Graham James (1890 - 1960), was a deaf artist who made eccentric sculptural birdhouses in Mingo County, West Virginia, primarily during the 1930's - 1940's. He would construct them from
things he picked up while assisting a traveling roofer, who used tin to repair roofs of local houses.

I would love to know more about him! Can you recommend a good source for more information or photos?

I wish there was more info myself. I know a group of the works were found in a shed maybe 15-20 years ago. They were sold at Cyr Auctions. A few of the bird houses can be found if you Google his name.
