Wow! I sure wish it had been my paddle! What a great piece and I love the patina.
Yeah, I was surprised the bidders that bid up the burl wood head of a doll (see my earlier post) to $3,100.00 didn't push this one higher. That burl head was definitely nice, but that price was high for such a small piece. I think $475.00 for this one was a steal! It will be interesting to see how this prolonged recession will affect more items coming out of the woodwork? It will be a great time for the person that has cash, whoever that would be!
