Cautionary tale:
One of many that got away...this one was a particularly painful one, since it wasn't a function of my usual underbidding, but instead because of a server failure with a snipe service (Yes, I am guilty of using one). This one was on eBay a few years ago and I had a very high bid ready to be placed at the last 6 seconds of the auction. Unfortunately, the bid was never placed. The good news is that it went to a great collecting friend, Mark Indursky, who runs Lost Found Art.
Mark is an expert in acquiring and grouping interesting vintage objects and can find pretty much anything. Check out his site!
