Recently sold on eBay is this great 19th century watercolor of a Georgia cotton mill. This is identified on the back as the Richmond Factory in Richmond County, GA.
I usually run the other way from most carved nutcrackers since they inevitably are straightforward manufactured pieces, but this one caught my eye. Very nice form and an interesting face.
A very nice reproduction of an actual vintage board that has sold for something like $60,000 (forget the exact amount, but I think it holds the record for a gameboard).
This one, believe it or not, is new (and sold that way) and is very well done.
